A Comprehensive Guide to Your Rights, Responsibilities, and Our Policies
- Introduction
- These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of our rental services ("Services"). By accessing or using our Services, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you disagree, please refrain from using our Services.
- Service Use
- Account Registration: You must provide accurate and complete information during registration and keep your account information up to date.
- Eligibility: You must be at least 18 years old to use our Services. By using our Services, you represent and warrant that you meet this age requirement.
- Account Security: You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account and password. You agree to notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account.
- Booking and Cancellations
- Booking: You can book a car through our mobile application or website. Bookings are subject to driver or partner availability.
- Cancellations: You may cancel your booking through the Jatri call center at any time before the driver arrives, but we request you cancel at least 2 hours before the booking time. If the driver does not arrive at the scheduled pick-up time, we recommend that you cancel the trip and, if time permits, request another car.
- Changes to Bookings: Any changes to your booking must be made through our app or call center. Changes are subject to availability and may incur additional charges.
- Payment
- Payment Methods: Payment for Services can be made through various methods specified in the app.
- Prepayment Policy: Currently, we do not have an advanced booking payment option for all the services(Except for Luxury Car). We recommend that you do not provide any payment to the driver or partner before the trip is completed, whether it is a round trip or a one-way trip.
- Refunds: Refund policies will be evaluated individually. Please contact our customer service for assistance. In cases of technical issues or suspected fraud, the Jatri Team will conduct an investigation. If the user is found eligible for a refund, it will be processed within 15 working days.
- Pricing: Prices for our Services are subject to change. The applicable price will be displayed at the time of booking. Users can view an estimated fare before placing a request; however, we cannot ensure that the service will be provided at that price due to our bidding system. Once the booking is confirmed from the bidding, the price will remain the same until the completion of the trip. However, if you go further or take extra time, the price will increase. Please contact our call center team in such situations. Jatri will not take responsibility for these additional charges.
- Luxury Car Rental Pricing:
- Luxury car rentals are subject to additional charges due to the exclusivity and higher operational costs of luxury vehicles. Prices will be displayed at the time of booking, and the final fare may come from bidding or shared by the call center. Extra charges may apply for additional services, special requests, or longer usage times.
- Additional Charges:
- Extra travel: BDT 15 per km for all car models, BDT 30 for minibusses, and BDT 40 for Luxury cars.
- Waiting time: BDT 100 for sedans, BDT 150 for microbuses, BDT 200 for minibuses, and BDT 500 per additional hour for Luxury cars.
- Confirmation of booking: Must pay the full amount in advance to confirm the booking for Luxury cars.
- Cancellation Charge:
- Sedan, Premium Sedan, Microbus, Mini-Microbus, MInibus: If the user cancels the confirmed trip within 2 hours of the trip, a charge of 200 BDT will be applicable, but if you cancel 2 hours before, no charge will be applicable.
- Luxury Car: If the user wants to cancel before 24 hours, the full amount will be refunded within 15 working days. If the user wants to cancel within 24 hours of booking, the full advanced amount will be charged for cancellation.
- Conduct and Responsibilities
- User Conduct: You agree to behave respectfully and lawfully while using our Services. Any misconduct may result in the termination of your account.
- Driver Conduct: Our drivers must provide safe and professional services. If you experience any issues, please report them to our customer service.
- Limitation of Liability: Jatri Services Ltd. acts solely as a service provider and intermediary. Jatri does not own the vehicles listed on our platform, and the drivers are independent contractors, not employees of Jatri. Jatri is not responsible for any inconvenience or loss caused by the partner or driver, such as missing the scheduled pick-up time or other issues during the trip. If the customer contacts us and allows us 2 to 6 hours to arrange cars, we will do our best to arrange them within that time. However, the price may change depending on the situation. If the vehicle is unavailable at the pick-up location, we won’t be able to support the user.
- User Responsibilities: Users are responsible for ensuring they are ready at the pick-up location at the scheduled time. Users must also comply with all applicable laws and regulations during the trip.

- Personal Information: We are committed to protecting your personal information. Please refer to our Privacy Policy for details.
- Emergency Situations: In case of an emergency, contact local authorities immediately using the national emergency number 999. Also, notify our customer service at 09642080808 as soon as possible.
- Safety Guidelines: Follow all safety guidelines provided by Jatri and the driver. This includes wearing seat belts and following traffic laws.

- Description of The Service
- Jatri ensures its customers' safety and peace of mind by providing comprehensive insurance coverage for car rentals booked through its platform (mobile app or website). This policy covers Accidental Death, Permanent Disability, and Medical Expense Reimbursement (Accidental Hospitalization) during trips facilitated by Jatri.
- Insurance Coverage Provider
- The insurance is underwritten by a licensed life insurance company (Insurance Partner) under a group life insurance policy. The Insurance Partner is solely responsible for coverage benefits, claim verification, and payment assessments.
- Coverage Highlights
Incident Compensation Amount Accidental Death during the trip Coverage of BDT 1,00,000 for each passenger Hospitalization due to Accidental Injuries(IPD) Reimbursement of actual medical expenses up to BDT 50,000. - Trip-Based Coverage:
- Insurance coverage begins when the trip starts and ends when the journey concludes.
- Eligibility:
- All passengers and the driver (up to the vehicle's seating capacity) on trips booked through Jatri's platform are automatically insured.
- Exclusions:
- Suicide, self-inflicted injuries, or participation in illegal activities.
- Death caused by HIV/AIDS or related illnesses.
- Incidents not associated with trips booked via Jatri’s platform.
- Accidental Disablement Breakdown:
- Permanent Disability Compensation (up to BDT 50,000): Breakdown for reimbursement of different accidental disablement

- Total Disability: 1% of the insured sum per week (up to 52 weeks).
- Partial Disability: 1% of the insured sum per week.

Submit Required Documents:
Provide the soft copies of the following document via mail at insurance.jatri@gmail.com within 30 days of the incident.
For Death Claims:
- National ID of the deceased person.
- Original death certificate or post-mortem report from the hospital showing the cause of death.
- Succession certificate from the District Judge Court (for nominees).
- Police report or General Diary (GD) copy with the official seal.
- For Accidental Injury Claims:
- Original hospital bills, doctor's prescriptions, and medical bills.
- Doctor’s certificate of disablement or injury.
- Fitness certificate, discharge certificate, and copy of joining report (if applicable).
Claim Settlement:
- Claims will be settled within 15 working days of document submission after the necessary documents have been submitted
- Settlement amounts will be transferred to the claimant’s bank account or mobile wallet based on your preference
- The Insurance Partner may conduct a survey or verification calls before finalizing the claim if needed.

- Right to Refuse and Blacklist
- We reserve the right to refuse service or blacklist any user for violating these Terms or engaging in inappropriate behavior.
- Electronic Messaging
- By using our Services, you agree to receive electronic communications from us. You can opt out by following the instructions in the communications.
- Promotional Codes
- Promotional codes may be offered and are subject to specific terms and conditions. Misuse of codes may result in account suspension.
- Special Instructions
- Share Your Trip Details: Share the trip details with the driver
- Verify Information: Match the driver and vehicle information displayed in the app before boarding.
- Share with Loved Ones: To ensure your safety, share trip details with family or loved ones.
- Track Your Location: Use the app’s in-app navigation to track your location and ensure the driver is following the correct route.
- Personal Information: Avoid sharing any personal information with the driver.
- No External Contracts: Do not enter into any personal contract with the driver outside of the app, as this may compromise your safety.
- Route for Out-of-City Rentals
Drivers will follow the route set by our system. If the route changes due to unavoidable reasons, adjustments will be made. If you request a route change, extra kilometer charges will apply. - Carrying Valuables
Keep valuable items like money or jewelry with you. Jatri Services Ltd. is not responsible for any loss or damage to such items. - Driver Duties
Drivers are only responsible for driving the car. The user cannot assign them any other tasks. - Changes to Terms
- We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Any changes will be effective immediately upon posting the updated Terms on our app or website. Your continued use of the Services after such changes constitutes your acceptance of the new Terms.
