Jatri was founded in 2019 with the mission to digitalize the traditional mass-transit ecosystem for operators and introduce multi-mode travel for customers. The central idea is to digitalize every step of the value chain, making mass-transit platforms convenient for both commuters and business operators. Jatri is committed to serving over 130 million Bangladeshis and 80,000 operators who directly or indirectly depend on mass transportation for their daily commute or livelihood.
Today, Jatri offers a suite of simple, easy-to-use products, ranging from Inventory Management Systems (IMS), Enterprise Ticketing, and Online Booking to Payments, meeting the needs of end customers. To date, the company has onboarded over 6,500 buses, 54 water transports, and 80,000 drivers to its transit network, with over 230 million tickets sold. Jatri is backed by some notable global investors, including ALSA, BusBud, Genting Ventures, SBK Tech Ventures, and Reflect Ventures, among others.
